This peaceful community hosts the annual ‘By the Sea’ Arts & Seafood Festival held the second week of August. Recreational fishing along the shore and in nearby streams is very good. An accommodating boardwalk leads to Hatchery Creek Falls, with breathtaking views. The town has a state-owned seaplane base, boat harbor and launch ramp.
