Pablo is home to the government offices of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
The People’s Center houses in a repository and museum a large collection of beautiful artifacts, historic photographs and art of the Salish, Pend d’Oreille and Kootenai Tribes. The gift shop carries handmade beadwork, jewelry and art made by the descendants of the region’s first people. Reservations can be made for guided museum tours, cultural education and historical activities and events such as storytelling, hide tanning, beading, basket making and native dance demonstrations. Groups and tours are welcome.
