Location: From Willow travel north on the Parks Highway to mile 70.8; turn west onto Willow Creek Parkway which also runs to the Willow Creek State Recreation Site; continue about 1.9 miles to Crystal Lake Road, then turn left and continue about 2.3 miles on the asphalt to Mishap Road; turn right and follow the State signs about 2.7 miles to Deshka Landing. The Deshka Landing Outdoor Association offers the region’s premier launch facility to access the Big Susitna, Deshka and Yentna Rivers, providing excellent year-round access to the Lower Susitna drainage, responsible customer service and habitat/environmental protection. Enjoy early and late season boat launch, access to hundreds of miles of groomed and well-marked snow machine trail systems, excellent fishing, hunting, ATVing, camping, bird watching and hiking. DLOA has ample parking in a 20+ acre monitored parking lot for year-round outdoor activities, including private group staging and overflow parking for the Iditarod. There is a convenience store for last minute snacks or drinks and gas is available 24/7. The property is controlled by electronic gate access taking cash or Visa/MC.
