This friendly community located on pristine Spirit Lake boasts a rich history. Walk down Maine Street (after the state of Maine) and you feel as if you’re on the set of a western movie. The railroad was built mostly by hand around the turn of the century. Spirit Lake was an attraction that brought summer excursion trains for vacationers in the early years.
