Christina Lake is a well-established resort area legendary for its warm, clean water, ideal for swimming, boating and water sports. The surrounding mountains have some of BC's finest hiking and biking trails. The Trans Canada Trail runs through the area, with trestle bridges, tunnels and the spectacular Cascade Gorge.

Nearby Kettle River is a great mild kayaking run, while golfers can choose between two excellent courses. In winter, crosscountry trails are abundant, snowshoeing is very accessible, or you can downhill at nearby Phoenix or Red Mountain. 
 There is a full range of accommodations to suit everyone's taste, from campgrounds to fine bed and breakfasts, RV resorts, cottages and motel units. Dining can be as simple or as elegant as you wish, with lots of choices.

Gladstone Provincial Park surrounds the entire northern half of the lake and provides many public beaches. Boat access recreation sites are available on the western shore. Several boat access beaches offer camping, swimming and fishing on the west shore. At the south end of the lake, Christina Lake Provincial Park is home to the largest of the public beaches. The lake is home to rainbow trout, smallmouth bass and kokanee salmon, which can be found spawning along McRae Creek and Sandner Creek each fall.
