The Hythe campground provides visitors with amenities such as kitchen shelters, electric power sites, an RV dumping site and hot shower facilities inside a vintage railway caboose. The town’s ice arena has been newly renovated and the original exterior of the arch rib "barn" architecture has been preserved. Hythe also has a motor speedway hosting fast paced entertainment from May to September. The oval paved racetrack features modified, street stock, starter stock, sportsmen and sprint competitions.
Hythe’s special events include the Hythe Agricultural Fair in August, Motor Speedway events throughout the summer, both the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Craft Sale and the annual Christmas Dine and Dance in November, and the Hythe and District Pioneer Home Christmas Light Up in early December. |
